Robredo meets with UN body to discuss campaign vs. illegal drugs | INQUIRER.NET – Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday met with the United Nations Office on Drug and Crime (UNODC) to discuss “best practices” in addressing the issue of illegal drugs. Further, Undersecretary Philip Dy, Robredo’s chief of staff, disclosed that aside from programs that could be implemented to fight illegal drugs, the meeting also delved into the experiences of the Philippines’ neighboring countries in the Southeast Asian region in dealing with the problem.

Locsin to bar entry of Human Rights Watch officer | The Manila Times – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Monday said a Human Rights Watch (HRW) officer who pressed for the arrest of President Rodrigo Duterte will not be allowed to enter the Philippines. Locsin made the remark after Phelim Kine, HRW deputy director for Asia, informed Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo that he is coming to Manila to help her address the problem on illegal drugs.
