There are times that words aren’t enough to make your loved one feel that you care. Sometimes it needs a small amount of effort.

One sweet brother shows his love for his little sister as he surprises her with a wonderful gown.

Maverick Oyao, a Bachelor of Arts in Culture and Arts Education student from Western Mindanao State University showed that he cared for his sister enough to create a breathtaking gown from scratch. She wore the gown in a school ball.

“The main reason behind all of this is kapos sa budget and wala po kaming marentahan na maayos na gown na sakto sa three thousand pesos kaya ayun I planned to create something na lang,” Maverick said.

He used everything he learned as an arts student and researched on gowns for school proms to create a masterpiece exclusively for his grade 10 sister, Lu Asey Oyao.

Maverick created the said gown with a budget of three thousand pesos. This was possible after a series of sleepless nights, manual stiches, and with his mother’s help as well.

“Day by day, habang sinisimulan ko siyang gawin na-i-excite ako makita (ang) outcome niya and I did not even imagine the amazing outcome,” the proud kuya said.

“Seeing her genuine smile while walking into the entrance of the prom is so priceless for me as her kuya,” he added.
