Today we honor our tatay, papa, daddy, ama, lolo and tito for their love and sacrificies. We hoped that the warmth and love radiate by requesting a few to write an open letter to their beloved fathers who are now in heaven.
Annju Camanay’s father passed away 6 months ago due to lung cancer. They didn’t have an easy life then but her Tatay Ramon gave his best to provide for them. As a Father’s Day tribute, she wrote a message for him.
Maraming maraming salamat, Pang. Happy Fathers sa’yo, Pang.”
Jheng Dela Cruz remembers the days when her father would come from work with “pasalubong”. Despite the labor of his work, her father never complained. Jheng also mentioned his Tatay’s jolliness and humor like Dolphy. Jheng misses him so much and dedicated a simple Father’s Day and birthday message to her Tatay.
“Happy Father’s Day sa nag iisang Super Mario ng buhay namin. Miss na miss ka na namin. Sa araw-araw ‘di ka namin nakakalimutan. Ikaw ang dakilang ama para sa amin. Mahal na mahal ka namin”
Elai Laceda Halos never met his father. She was only 9 months old when her father departed. At school, she often asked her classmates how it feels to have a father. When her friends were having problems with their fathers, she advices them, “Kung pinapagalitan ka, It’s a blessing!
Even if Elai did not have a chance to create memories with her father, she’s still grateful.
“Happy Father’s Day, Pa! Because there’s a God, Greatest Father of all fatherless.”
Today, there are people who will not have the joy of celebrating Father’s Day with their fathers anymore. So, while they are still by your side be grateful and feel their sacrifices, care, and love.
