Makati City is a finalist for World Smart Cities Awards | INQUIRER.NET – Makati is the only city in the Philippines chosen as one of the finalists for the World Smart Cities Awards for utilizing technology in disaster preparedness projects. Mayor Binay revealed the inclusion of Makati City in the roster of finalists, which will be presented during the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain from November 19 to 21.

Angat level declines further over insufficient rainfall | The Manila Times – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Thursday recorded Angat’s elevation at 185.87 meters, a 0.36-meter drop from the previous day. This is way below the 210-meter normal high water level and only more than 5 meters above the 180-meter minimum operating level. Pagasa expects continues decline if no significant rainfall or weather disturbance would come in the next few days.
