Entrepreneurial people used TECHNOLOGY to create ONLINE DATING. They found a way to simplify the quest for the best match. However, there are still tons of applications and tons of people to choose from.

In the United States, there are different online dating applications ranging from free to paid ones. In America, 12% of Americans use online dating apps (from a 2015 survey) while in the Philippines, 56% of Filipino millennials are using online dating.

How do we get a successful online date?

Read on:

  • Create a decent profile.

First thing first, you need to choose a preferred application and create a decent profile. Include your interests, hobbies, and qualities that you’re looking for in a partner.

  • Upload a decent photo.

There are tons of pictures in your phone and you don’t know which one to upload as your profile picture. The best thing to do is to not upload pictures that are too formal, too wacky, too flirtatious and too filtered. Upload a photo that simply shows who you really are.

  • Do not use a generic message.

Do you use the same message to all match-ups? “Hi, you look lovely.” “You are beautiful.” Write a remarkable message after seeing the profile. Look at their hobbies and interests. If you find something that matches your interest, talk about it. That is the best way to direct your conversation. You may be surprised that you’ll find a lot of topics to talk about.

  • Be respectful.

Whether you’re on your first date or still in the chatting process, you have to be respectful and set the limitations. Being respectful makes you more adorable and charming.

  • Always plan a date.

Remember that first impression lasts, your first date is very important. Make it a planned date to better prepare yourself and the prospect both emotionally and physically. When you successfully deliver your first date, surely there’s more to come.

Online dating is trending. Accept it, but careful. There are real dates and fake dates—bad humans on the prowl. Be observant and skeptical.

Here’s wishing you get that date!
