“Thank you for coming into my life… Happy Birthday!” This was the post of Ms. Kris Aquino in Instagram that brought everyone gaga again. The question is, “Who is the mysterious guy?”
Along with the post, Kris added that “I thought long and hard enough whether to upload this because I know what kind of speculation I’ll be starting… BUT he really did come when my grief was unbearable; he continues to give me unselfish support & comfort; he’s been around for all my ups and downs, health woes, and tears – plus Bimb likes him… most of all he makes me feel taken care of, secure, and SAFE. So he is deserving of this birthday greeting that all of you are now seeing (care bears na kung anong iisipin nyo) BECAUSE for me he is #special.”
Not so long after the post, there was a Netizen who made a comment to Kris with a message, “Ghorl @Krisaquino Kung gusto mo talaga na private ang buhay mo. Wag kana mag post ng Ganito…”
And the mystery man, finally surfaced with a comment “hiniram ko yung phone ni kris – ewan ko kung nakatrabaho kita sa DILG sa laki ng department mahirap maalala ang lahat. Wag naman sana masamain kung nag greet nga sa ‘kin, ba’t naman napunta na sa malas? Eh napasaya nga nya ko. Kung nag sama nga tayo sa department na minahal ko, konting respeto naman sa min ni Kris – Mel Senen Sarmiento”
Mel Senen Sarmiento was appointed as DILG Secretary during PNoy’s time. He was also the former Mayor of Calbayog City and the Congressman of the 1st District of Samar. Immediately after Kris Aquino’s post, Mel became the most searchable name in google.
