Vico Sotto summoned by NBI for alleged violation of ‘Bayanihan’ law | INQUIRER.NET – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday summoned Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto for possible violation of Republic Act 11469 or the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin said the purpose of the “invitation letter” sent to Sotto is to enable him to explain his side on the allegation that he disobeyed the national government policy in imposing the community quarantine in light of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.

DOH: 1st batch of gov’t-procured PPEs for distribution to hospitals soon | Manila Bulletin – The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday said the first tranche of the one million sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) procured by the government arrived on Wednesday. The first tranche of 15,000 PPE sets will first undergo inspection and quality assurance, the DOH said. “Kasalukuyang ini-inspect ang ating mga PPEs bago ipadala sa nangangailangang hospitals,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a press briefing.
Govt to set guidelines on lifting, extension of quarantine | The Manila Times – The government is readying the parameters on the possible lifting, extension or expansion of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon, a Palace official said on Tuesday. Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles said the technical working group led by the Department of Health (DoH) has been ordered to prepare the guidelines.
