COVID-19 alert: Confirmed cases in PH soar to 380, death toll climbs to 25 | INQUIRER.NET – The confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines leaped to 380 after 73 new cases were confirmed, along with 25 deaths and 15 recoveries on Sunday. Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire announced the latest data in an interview on dzBB. On Saturday, there were 307 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 17 deaths and 13 recoveries.

DOH to assist Marikina City in putting up own COVID-19 testing center | Manila Bulletin – The Department of Health (DOH) said that it will still be conducting an assessment on the laboratory testing center that the Marikina City government intends to put up for the detection of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that assessment would be conducted to ensure that the laboratory facility would be following the required biosafety standards.
5 private hospitals eyed as Covid testing centers |The Manila Times –The Department of Health (DoH) on Saturday announced that they are assessing five private hospitals in Metro Manila as possible extension laboratories for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) testing. In a statement, Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd said these hospitals are St. Lukes Medical Center-Global City, Makati Medical Center, The Medical City, St. Lukes Medical Center- Quezon City and Chinese General Hospital.
