The Philippines participated in the biggest endurance race in the world of motorsports at Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France on October 3, 2020.
Le Mans is an automobile endurance race that requires an automobile with 3 racers to thread 5,000 kilometers in a span of 24 hours.
EurasiaMotorsport, carrying the Philippine flag, fielded drivers Nick Foster (Australia), Roberto Merhi (Spain), and Nobuya Yamanaka (Japan). The team won 14th place in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) category and took the 18th place overall in the race.
Race Engineer and Crew Chief Robert Bautista, a Filipino, leads the 15 Eurasia Motorsports crew during the Le Mans 2020.
Motorsports is an emerging sport in the Philippines and other countries are beginning to recognize the talent of Filipinos in this sport.
