Pinoys Shine in the Agrostudies Program 2018-2019

The 638 Pinoy students-trainees who attended the Israeli sponsored Agrostudies Program for 2018-2019 graduated on September 2, 2019 held at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem. These Pinoy participants come from the different agricultural universities and colleges in the Philippines
The Agrostudies Program is an 11-month course of combined academic and practical courses covering the latest agro-based technology and techniques utilized by Israeli farms. It affords academic trainings in the specialized agricultural academic centers. It also provided hands-on exposures in modern farms that employ the latest Israeli modern technology especially in citrus farming, horticulture, mushroom cultivation, dairy production, poultry growing, and agricultural pollination.
The Agrostudies Program hosts a thousand other agricultural student-trainees from 13 Asian and African countries but the Philippines has the most number of participants.
Excellence in Extra-Curricular Activities awards were received by the following Pinoy students
– Marthin Mistica of Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) Los Banos Campus,
– Leah Cawad of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT),
– Ronald Lantano of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), and
– Jemve Rebutabo of University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP).
