Skin is the largest organ of our body. It is essential for our overall good health to take care of it. We must avail our time while quarantined to take care of our skin.

Here are few experts’ tips on how to take good care of our skin:

1. Wash your face in the morning and in the evening.  Make sure to use the right facial cleaner;

2. Exfoliate your skin no more than twice a week.  This will scrub away those dead skin cells and reveal the soft, fresh skin underneath. It is even better if you exfoliate your body too!

3. Keep your skin regimen simple.  When it comes to skincare, less is more. The more products you put on your skin, the more likely you are to get an allergic reaction;

4. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.   This will make your skin soft and give a healthy glow. It will also prevent any skin irritation. Not enough water would make your skin look dull and dry;

5. Eat foods that are rich in Vitamin C.  Studies show that eating plenty of vitamin C-rich foods and limiting unhealthy fats and processed carbohydrates will help keep your skin look young. Also, eat foods that contain omega-3 fatty acid.  This will help your skin retain its moisture, which will keep it looking young and hydrated;

6. Take time to de-stress. The more stressed you are, the more likely you will suffer from acne and breakouts.  Set reasonable work limits. Make sure to allot time for hobbies that you truly enjoy;

7. Get enough sleep. Teenagers need around 8 to 10 hours, while adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Lack of sleep will make you feel tired throughout the day and will also cause eyebags;

8. Make sure you get at least 2 to 3 hours of exercise each week. Exercise is great for your whole well-being.  It helps boost oxygen and nutrients to the skin. When you sweat, your body gets rid of toxins, which will help clarify your skin;

9. Reduce or eliminate caffeine, cigarettes, and alcohol. These things can dull and dry out your skin; and,

10. Avoid touching your face too often. The more often you touch your face, the more you are exposed to bacteria that may cause breakouts and acne.

Stay healthy and glowing!
