If you have available money that you can invest in a business, think about going into a payment center franchise. How much capital do you need and how fast is the return of investment? Let me present to you three choices: Bayad Center, TrueMoney, and Posible.
Bayad Center
Bayad Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of MERALCO or Manila Electric Company, an electric power distribution company in the Philippines. It is the “country’s pioneer and leader in the Outsourced Payment Collection Industry” and its name has become synonymous to the industry itself. “Saan ka pupunta? Sa bayad center.” Does this remind you—if you are a GenXer—of buying toothpaste and telling the tindera that you want a colgate? And when asked about what brand, you say Close-up. That is awesome brand recall, and Bayad Center has achieved that.
At PhP50k, Bayad Center offers a two-year counter package with a one-year projected payback for existing business. The package requires a minimum 2 square meter space and an outlay for new equipment. You also need an initial prefund of PhP200k to finance services. The franchise model includes software installation, double face signage, initial marketing collaterals, and operations support. Services include bills payment, money remittance, e-loading, and ticketing with service fees from PhP3 to 120.
