Department of Tourism + Jollibee = EATS More Fun in the Philippines

2019 ushers in the biggest Philippine tourism campaign since It’s More Fun in the Philippines was launched in 2012. The Tourism Department partners with Jollibee to highlight the lesser known cuisines in the country in a three-year gastronomic campaign with just a little play on one word from the original slogan— EATS More Fun in the Philippines.

Fully funded by Jollibee, the campaign starts off with a short documentary featuring chefs JP Anglo and Jordan Andino alongside YouTube celebrity Mikey Bustos. The three talk about pancit, halo-halo, champorado, adobo and having more flavors that the seven thousand islands can offer. Of course, the star of the show is the dancing bee and the Jollibee burger, chicken and spaghetti. Although not mentioned, the ad shows the unique boodle fight that captures Filipinos’ way of eating together with their hands. And there’s a Game of Thrones (GOT) moment somewhere—look for the very visible mic contraption at 2.23 seconds. Is it intentional or not? Let us know!
